Shadow Children is an NGO that offers conversation groups to children and young people in grief. The cause of grief is either death in immediate family or network, or they live in families with life-threatening illnesses. These children often become "different" from their friends because they experience a very serious everyday life in the family characterized by speculation. To date, the organization has helped a total number of 600 children and youngsters in Denmark.
In 2020, Shadow Children was about to open a branch in Aarhus. Lene-Christine offered her help with the start-up and was essential in helping with fundraising, sparring, and other tasks.
