Personal development

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom

Aristoteles

Personal development is finding out what you want, what challenges you from getting it, finding a direction, and having support in reaching your goal. It can be a life goal or a business goal.

A life goal could be:

  • I would like to have more self-insights towards my strengths and weaknesses.
  • I would like to improve my interpersonal interactions with other people.
  • I would like to change my emotion register etc., feel less angry, and be happier.
  • I would like a healthy lifestyle.
  • I would like to control my schedule better and make more room for me.
  • I would like to figure out what I really desire and what makes me happy.
  • I would like to figure out “Who am I?”
  • I’m stuck and want to make some changes in my life.

A business goal could be:

  • I would like to develop my leadership skills.
  • I would like to develop my employees better.
  • I would like to be better at communicating.
  • I would like to learn more about different personal profile preferences.
  • I would like to dare take more conflicts.
  • I would like to learn how to say no in a good way.
  • I would like to move forward in my career, but how?
  • I´m not happy at work but do not know what else to do.
  • I would like to be better at reaching performance goals and still have a motivated team.

Whether you are looking for personal development in reaching a life goal or a business goal, the first place to begin is within yourself.

You cannot control others. The only person you have control over is you. That means that it all starts within yourself. You have the stick and the choice to choose how the next chapter of your life should be written.

You might think that your history, choices, and life experiences define who you are. It defines who you are now, and it has given you, life-lessons in both good and, maybe, bad ways, but it does not define who you want to become in the future.

You have the stick, and if you want something different, you need to start doing different things. It will take time and effort, and it is paramount that you want the change, lean in, and work with yourself. Only you can make the change, I can support you and give you tools to help you succeed.

Know the enemy and know yourself in a hundred battles; you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril

Sun Tzu, General and strategist and tactician (544-496 f.kr)

It begins with you, your interactions, and the path to reaching your goals.

How do we start?

  1. The start-up meeting will often be 1.5 hours. Here, we align expectations and focus on where the focus should be and which objectives you want to achieve.
  2. The subsequent sparring sessions are usually of a 1,5-hour duration.

A sparring process usually starts with six conversations spread over a period. On an ongoing basis, we consider additional needs.

To begin with, you sign up for the six conversations. After that, we agree on future needs.

Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; Mastering yourself is true power
